The article 'JJ Nelson: Adidas never offered deal' is about how NFL prospect JJ Nelson missed out on 100,000 dollars. Adidas has an endorsement deal for the top three fastest prospects in the 40 yard dash. Before the combine players have a chance to pick the newest Adidas cleat for use at the combine. JJ did exactly this before the combine. During the combine not only did Nelson run in the top 3 but he ran the fastest over all time. Nelson thought he was gonna be 100,000 $ richer. This was not the case. It turned out that you had to sign a full endursement  deal with Adidas BEFORE you ran 40.
When JJ was questioned about how he did not obtain the 100,000 dollars he stated that his time and him doing well came before the money did. He felt that his time was more important although he is still considered late round draft pick. He also claims that Adidas never gave him the option of signing a endorsement deal. At this time no one from the medias perspective is completely positive of what happened.  I personally do believe that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding. But also JJ Nelson does deserve the 100,000$ signing bonus because he was the fasted 40 yard dash runner in the new Adidas cleats.
